Thank-you letter to Seattle Rep

I revised my letter to Seattle Rep, saying I was sorry they didn’t choose me for their fellowship, but I appreciated their considering my application.  Here’s the final draft:

I got your letter saying that you are not considering me for your playwrights fellowship. I was sorry to hear that; it’s a great opportunity, and I had hoped to be chosen.

But thank you for considering my application, and thank you also for making this opportunity for playwrights. We need programs like yours.

Congratulations to whomever you do choose, and I’ll be looking for the announcements of their readings.

I put it in the mail today.  Their letter to me was signed by the artistic director and the associate artistic director.  So I sent my letter to each of them.

I’m still disappointed, but time to move on to the next thing.

What’s next?

I’m having actor friends of mine over to read the first draft of my newest play, about the dot-com industry.  That’s Saturday.

After that, back to my distillery tour!  🙂
