I want to write a popular holiday show and make lots of money

Seriously. What makes a good holiday show?

I’ve seen “A Christmas Carol,” “Owen Meany’s Christmas Pageant,” “Black Nativity,” “Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol,” “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” and “Wisemen.”

I’ve heard “The Santaland Diaries” on NPR.

I was in “Miracle on 34th Street.”

The people who own the rights to these holiday shows must make a lot of money in royalties.

Am I being too cynical for the season?
